(Strand A) Cross-border cooperation

(RO/UA) Romania - Ukraine

The vision of the programme is to improve cross-border integration between boundary regions while posing good bases for sustainable economic development.
The opportunities for cross-border cooperation in the eligible regions can be converted in four intermediate/specific objectives, which are instrumental to acquire the general objective:
-Strengthening existing common assets to ignite a new integrated cycle of sustainable development.
-Supporting a new cycle of sustainable development with key infrastructures.
-Develop cross-border cooperation to resurface the common socio-cultural heritage linked to the local history and environment.
-Operationally strengthen Cross Border Cooperation.

Geographical area

In Romania: the counties of Satu mare, Maramures, Suceava, Botosani and Tulcea. In Ukraine: the regions of Zakarpatska, Ivano-Frankivska, Odesska and Chernivetska.
